Trump Refuses to Hold Ramadan Dinner

President Donald Trump angered some on the left this week by failing to hold a White House dinner celebrating the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.Instead, Trump issued a warm statement wishing Muslims a happy Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan. The statement read:

On behalf of the American people, Melania and I send our warm greetings to Muslims as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

With Muslims around the world, the United States renews our commitment to honor these values. Eid Mubarak.
Leftists accused him of breaking a ‘tradition’ that was started by former President Bill Clinton and carried on through Barack Obama’s administration.
